Banished to the enchanted Forest of Arden, the witty and courageous Rosalind disguises herself as a man to navigate a world of romantic role-playing and unexpected love. This pastoral comedy turns the tables on tradition, using clever banter and charming deception to explore gender, identity, and the foolishness of love. This production is part of Play On Shakespeare, which commissions new translations and supports productions of \u201cThe Bard\u201d in language accessible to modern audiences while never losing the beauty of Shakespeare\u2019s verse.<\/p>\n
