Established in 1973 as a quarterly publication of the Eastern Economic Association, the Eastern Economic Journal, is committed to free and open intellectual inquiry from diverse philosophical perspectives in all areas of theoretical and applied research related to economics.<\/p>\n

Issues contain a mixture of articles, book reviews, EEA Presidential Addresses, symposia, and dialogues.\u00a0 They include contributions by renowned economists, as well as by new Ph.D.s just learning how to make their research results accessible to the profession. Readability and general interest are major factors in the publication decision.<\/p>\n

The Eckstein Prize was established by the Eastern Economic Association in honour of Otto Eckstein, a former president of the EEA, and is awarded biennially to the article in the Eastern Economic Journal judged to be the best over that period.
