The information below pertains to making both Admissions and housing deposits for new or continuing students.<\/p>\n
<\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span> Undergraduate New Students Admissions and Housing Deposits<\/p> To reserve a place in the Fall\u00a0class and request on-campus housing, you must submit your deposit. You may submit your deposit electronically or by postal mail.<\/p>\n If you wish to submit your deposit by\u00a0postal mail<\/strong>, simply return the Acceptance Card found in your admission packet to the Office of Admissions. Include a check or money order for $800 if you will be living on campus or a check or money order for $600 if you will be commuting.<\/p>\n If you wish to submit your deposit electronically, visit the Pay My Deposit<\/a> page. It is important to follow (print) the directions found on the landing page before entering the payment portal.<\/p>\n The deposit is credited toward the charges of your first semester of enrollment. If you wish to live on campus, this must be requested at the same time your deposit is submitted.<\/p>\n Please be aware, while your admissions deposit portion ($600) is non-refundable, the housing deposit portion ($200) may be refundable if a written withdrawal request is received by the Office of Admissions by May 1. After that date the housing deposit is non-refundable.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n <\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span> Undergraduate\/Graduate Current Resident Housing Deposits<\/p> Undergraduate Students<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n In order to participate in the housing selection process, students are required to submit a non-refundable $500<\/strong>\u00a0housing deposit<\/strong> by February 2. All information regarding the housing selection process will be posted via the Residence Life webpage in March. Students, who do not submit their deposits by February 2, will not be eligible to participate in the online housing selection process.<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n Graduate Students<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Graduate students are required to submit a\u00a0non-refundable $500<\/strong>\u00a0housing deposit<\/strong> by February 2. Graduate Students do not participate in the housing selection process. Graduate students who do not submit their deposits by February 2, will not be eligible for housing.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n Visit the Residence Life<\/a> website for additional information.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n <\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span> Undergraduate Current Commuting Students Housing Deposits<\/p> Housing Selection Deposits for Commuters<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n If you are a current commuter student, you\u00a0will be eligible to participate in the Housing Selection Process<\/strong>.\u00a0In order to participate in this process, students are required to submit a non-refundable $500<\/strong>\u00a0housing deposit<\/strong>\u00a0by February 2.<\/p>\n All information regarding the housing selection process will be posted via the Residence Life webpage in March.\u00a0Students, who do not submit their deposits by February 2 will not be eligible to participate in the housing selection process.<\/strong><\/p>\n Deposits for Commuters not taking part in Housing Selection<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A current commuting student may apply for housing by completing the online Commuter Housing Application. In order to be considered for housing, a\u00a0<\/span>$200 non-refundable<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>housing deposit must be paid by cash or check to the Office of Student Accounts or electronically (credit card or ACH from your checking or savings account). Online processing of credit cards is managed in-house. Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express is accepted. A non-refundable service fee of 3.0% (minimum $3.00) is added by the servicer to the cardholder\u2019s payment.<\/b><\/p>\n NOTE: The Office of Student Accounts does not accept credit card payments by phone or in-person. Electronic payments can ONLY be made ONLINE.<\/b><\/p>\n Using this method requires that you have the student\u2019s Ramapo Email User Name and Ramapo Email Password.<\/p>\n Housing Credit Card Step-by-Step Instructions<\/b><\/p>\n The College reserves the right to change costs, dates and procedures at its discretion.<\/b><\/p>\n The College contracts with a third party to process electronic debit of checking or savings accounts payments. There is no additional service charge for this function.<\/b><\/p>\n In the event that your electronic payment is returned unpaid for any reason, the student account will be assessed a $40 return processing fee.<\/p>\n NOTE: The Office of Student Accounts does not accept electronic debit of checking or savings accounts payments by phone or in-person. Payment can ONLY be made ON-LINE.<\/b><\/p>\n Using this method requires that you have the student\u2019s Ramapo Email User Name and Ramapo Email Password.<\/p>\n Housing Deposit Electronic Debit of Checking or Savings Accounts (ACH) Step-by-Step Instructions<\/b><\/p>\n The College reserves the right to change costs, dates and procedures at its discretion.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/a>\n The information below details policies, deadlines, and procedures for Withdrawal Refunds.\u00a0 Withdrawal refunds are credits applied to a student account for dropping or withdrawing from a course(s).<\/p>\n Credit Balance Refunds are refunds issued to students due to an overpayment on the student account, whether from financial aid, an out-of-pocket payment, etc.\u00a0 These refunds are issued in the form of a check or direct deposit to a bank account.<\/p>\n <\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span> Withdrawal Refunds<\/p> NOTE: Ramapo College offers a Tuition Protection Insurance Plan through GradGuard.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n Students who officially drop or withdraw from any or all of their registered courses and\/or housing in compliance with the relevant policies, procedures, and deadlines of the Office of the Registrar<\/a> and\/or the Office of Residence Life<\/a> may be eligible for account adjustments.<\/p>\n To assist you with a withdraw, contact the Office of the Registrar<\/a><\/p>\n Students who withdraw from any or all registered courses and\/or housing after College refund deadlines for any reason, including, but not limited to, Medical Leave of Absence<\/strong>, are not eligible for refunds or account adjustments<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Housing deposits are non-refundable<\/strong>. In addition, students who withdraw from housing will need to pay a new deposit if they reapply for on-campus housing.<\/p>\n If a student incurs any charges after receiving a refund, the student is responsible for paying those charges.<\/strong><\/p>\n Knowing and meeting deadlines for changes to courses or residence status is the responsibility of the student. The College is not responsible for publishing reminders or alerts related to deadlines for account adjustments and refunds<\/a>. Additional deadlines can be found on the Academic Calendar<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n The College reserves the right to change costs, dates and procedures at its discretion.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n <\/i><\/i><\/i><\/span> Credit Balance Refunds<\/p> Should a Title IV financial aid overpayment result in a credit balance of $1.00 or greater, a refund will be issued. Credit balances from non-Title IV financial aid are subject to a $5.00 threshold. Unless otherwise specified by the student, the College will issue a paper check.<\/p>\nMethods of Payment<\/h3>\n
